Board Games: Your Move

Hello!

Two weeks ago I spoke to you all about making compromises with your significant other. This time we’re talking about playing games other than video games, board games. Board games can be something shared between two people, but there are tons of games that can be played with friends and family and is always a crowd pleaser. When it’s just the two of us we’re limited to certain one on one games like Chess, Checkers, card games, and my all-time favorite Backgammon! One might think these games are based on luck, but there is a lot more to offer, when played correctly these games are strategic and exciting. When you have more people to play with, games like Heads Up, Monopoly, Cards Against Humanity, and Settlers of Catan are our go tos. Settlers of Catan is one of our favorites, the mechanic is all about anticipating your opponent’s next move. Players take the roles of settlers and each try to build properties while developing  them and trading resources. Each player receives points as their settlements grow; the first person to reach 10 points is the winner. If you’ve played these already, let us know what you think and if not, try them as soon as you can! We’re currently looking to add more games to our collection like Dungeons and Dragons and A Game of Thrones so if you guys have tried them let us know in the comments! If your favorite game wasn’t mentioned in this post, recommendations are always welcome! Like video games, board games can be intense and require tons of concentration. Strategizing in games is a great way to have fun with friends, family or your significant other.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or have any topics you’d like us to talk about, reach out to us!
